Two dominant signal callers in Wyatt Pollet and Parker Zikmund are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Aurora Huskies will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Central City Bison at 7:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Aurora comes in on five and Central City on eight.
Aurora is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They breezed past Milford to the tune of 49-14 on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Huskies, who have now won four contests by 20 points or more so far this season.

Aurora had a senior duo take command as Ian Jensen rushed for 174 yards and one TD while picking up 8.3 yards per carry and Canon Allen gained 93 total yards and a touchdown. Jensen has become a key player for the Huskies: the team is undefeated when he posts at least 100 rushing yards, but 2-3 otherwise.
Aurora's run defense was locked in: Milford could only muster 3.4 yards per carry. While two picked up at least four total tackles, Jensen stood above the rest. He rushed for 174 yards and one score while picking up 8.3 yards per carry. Aurora's run defense has been on the up-and-up: they allowed five yards per carry earlier this season, but they've only allowed 7.43 on average over their last five games.
Meanwhile, Central City didn't have too much trouble with Broken Bow on Friday as they won 34-20. Give the Bison's offense some serious credit: that high-scoring performance was actually the fewest points they've scored all season.
Aurora better keep an eye on Wyatt Dent. He was instrumental in Central City's win, picking up 258 receiving yards and three touchdowns. With that strong performance, Dent is now averaging an impressive 110.5 receiving yards per game.
Central City's victory bumped their record up to 8-0. As for Aurora, their win bumped their record up to 5-3.
We should be in store for an exciting game as the two teams have no problem gaining yardage. Aurora has been on an offensive roll this season, having averaged 359.8 total yards per game. However, it's not like Central City struggles in that department as they've been averaging 371.5 total yards. With a pair of commanding offenses duking it out, the defenses are going to have their work cut out for them.
Aurora might still be hurting after the 53-28 loss they got from Central City when the teams last played back in October of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Bison's Corbin Kyes, who rushed for 433 yards and six TDs while picking up 11.4 yards per carry. Now that the Huskies know the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
