League recap: Busch throws longest pass in league this season for Central

Aaron Busch and Jason Shockey provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Quinton. The connection was good for 66 yards, the longest such play in A District 6 this season.

Talihina extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Union Christian Academy, 55-6. The win marks fifth in a row for the the Golden Tigers.

Central's dynamic duo of Busch and Shockey proved tough for the Savages to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Busch threw for 207 yards and four touchdowns and Shockey had 82 yards receiving. Noah Miller helped Central's passing attack out by catching one ball for 65 yards.

Clark Austin was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 24 carries, he ran for 136 yards as Talihina bested Quinton. CALEB STOWELL also contributed to the rushing game with 70 yards on the ground.

5-foot-9 quarterback Busch of Central is the league leader in passing yards this season with 853. He has also thrown eight touchdowns. On the ground, Kelly Gravitt's team's Austin has rushed for 571 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Trevor Crone. The Talihina star has 21 catches for 323 yards.

A big matchup in the league this week will be when Canadian takes on Savanna. At the moment, the Cougars are in third, while the Bulldogs are in second.

There should be lots of points scored when John Hart's team and the Golden Tigers face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, the Tigers comes in having scored 135 this season, while Talihina has scored 186. Central scored 45 points last week as it topped Chad Gragg's team.

Gore took down Canadian 58-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
