La Cueva extended their winning streak to five games thanks to a huge performance from Hunter Butler. The Bears walked away with a 47-40 victory over the Santa Fe Demons on Friday for which the team can thank Butler, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and ten boards. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 15.2 points per game.

Cj Johnson was another key player, putting up eight points. He is also on a roll when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last four games he's played.

La Cueva's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Santa Fe, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.

La Cueva has already played their next contest, a 75-62 victory against Cleveland on the 13th. As for Santa Fe, they will venture away from home to face off against Taos at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
