Jefferson City faced Pembroke Hill in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Jays were the clear victors by a 14-4 margin over the Raiders. The Jays might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by six runs or more this season.

The victory (which was Jefferson City's fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-1. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.5 runs over those games. As for Pembroke Hill, their loss dropped their record down to 6-2.

Looking ahead, Jefferson City will take on Kirksville at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Pembroke Hill, they will face off against Fatima at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
