Baseball Recap: Lake Highland Prep Comes Up Short

Lake Highland Prep fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Father Lopez on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Green Wave by a score of 10-9. The Highlanders just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Alex Khalil and Reilly Diebel stepped up to the plate in a big way. Khalil scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4, while Diebel scored a run while getting on base in two of his five plate appearances.

Lake Highland Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 10-14. As for Father Lopez, they pushed their record up to 9-14 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.
