SelPort unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They had to suffer through a 52-6 loss at the hands of the Coeur du Christ Academy Saints. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

When it comes to explaining why SelPort lost on Friday, don't look at Blaine Rieckers (Northport). Despite the final result, he rushed for 89 yards and one score.

The victory (which was Coeur du Christ Academy's fourth in a row dating back to last season) raised their record to 3-0.
