Basketball Recap: King & Queen Central Comes Up Short

King & Queen Central suffered their biggest defeat since February 13, 2024 on Thursday. They took a blow against the West Point Pointers, falling 64-37. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Royal Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 46-40 back in December of 2024.

Despite the loss, King & Queen Central still got an impressive performance from Janiya Brown, who posted 14 points.

King & Queen Central's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for West Point, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. King & Queen Central will challenge Charles City at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for West Point, they will take on Maggie Walker at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Maggie Walker is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51 points per game this season.
