Football Game Preview: Thayer vs. Mountain Grove

Mountain Grove have been homebodies their last two matches, but they are heading out on Friday. They will take on Thayer at 7:00 PM. Mountain Grove aren't expected to win, but seeing as the odds didn't stop them last game, maybe the squad has another upset up their sleeve.

It was all tied up at the half for Mountain Grove and Houston last Friday, but Mountain Grove stepped up in the second half. Mountain Grove came out on top against Houston by a score of 13-6. The success made it back-to-back wins for Mountain Grove.

Meanwhile, after a disappointing zero points in their last game, Thayer made sure to put some points up on the board against Willow Springs. Thayer took the game and then some with a 40-0 win over Willow Springs. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Thayer had established a 32-0 advantage.

The last time the two teams met, Mountain Grove won a matchup that couldn't have been any closer, slipping by Thayer 15-14. The rematch might be a little tougher for Mountain Grove since the team won't have home-field advantage. Watch the game and check back on MaxPreps to see if the change in venue makes a difference.
