Volleyball Game Preview: Nolan Catholic Vikings vs. Byron Nelson Bobcat

Nolan Catholic is preparing for their first district matchup of the season on Thursday. They will head out on the road to face off against the Byron Nelson Bobcat at 7:00 p.m. Nolan Catholic will be strutting in after a win while Byron Nelson will be coming in after a defeat.

While Vikings fans will have to keep waiting for their squad to come home, they shouldn't be too worried about the road trip considering the result of Tuesday's season opener. They were the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over Marcus on Tuesday.

Nolan Catholic walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-19, 25-17.

Meanwhile, Byron Nelson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of Steele Early College. While the Bobcat didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Stallions 25-19 in the first set.

Byron Nelson started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The final score came out to 19-25, 25-9, 25-20.
