Volleyball Game Preview: Sitka Wolves vs. Juneau-Douglas Crimson Bears + How To Watch

After both having extra time off, the Sitka Wolves and the Juneau-Douglas Crimson Bears will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Sitka is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.

Sitka is headed into the matchup having just suffered their biggest loss since November 14, 2024 last Saturday. They came up short against Mt. Edgecumbe, falling 3-0.

Sitka was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The final score came out to 25-20, 27-25, 25-15.

Meanwhile, Juneau-Douglas came up short against Bettye Davis East Anchorage on Saturday and fell 2-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Crimson Bears in their meetings with the Thunderbirds: they've now lost four in a row.

Juneau-Douglas' loss dropped their record down to 21-18-7. As for Sitka, they now have a losing record of 18-19-9.

Sitka couldn't quite get it done against Juneau-Douglas when the teams last played on October 3rd as they fell 2-0. Can the Wolves avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
