Evangel Christian barely beat Morgan Academy the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Lightning were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Senators on Thursday. Winning may never get old, but the Lightning sure are getting used to it with their seventh in a row.

While Evangel Christian won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-12, 25-22.

Evangel Christian found their leader in sophomore Erin Campbell, who had eight digs and four aces.

Evangel Christian was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 18 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least eight aces in five consecutive matchups.

Evangel Christian's victory bumped their record up to 29-6-2. As for Morgan Academy, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

As of now, neither Evangel Christian nor the Senators have any future games scheduled.
