Basketball Recap: Make It Five in a Row for Miami Union Academy

Miami Union Academy waltzed into their contest on Friday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They came out on top against the Edison Private Eagles by a score of 48-41. This was a revenge game for the Jaguars : when they faced off against the Eagles on January 10th, they had to take a 59-51 loss.

Leading Miami Union Academy to victory were Jadon Savizon and Chase Remmings. Savizon posted 11 points along with five assists and three steals, while Remmings earned 11 points and six steals. Savizon has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Fabrice Dorgile, who had nine points.

Miami Union Academy pushed their record up to 6-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Edison Private, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-5.

Miami Union Academy will host SEED of Miami at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Edison Private, they will square off against LaProgresiva Presbyterian at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Edison Private is facing LaProgresiva Presbyterian at the right time seeing as LaProgresiva Presbyterian is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
