Basketball Recap: Randleman Skates Past Wheatmore with Ease

Randleman had to skate by with only a two-point margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 43-point drubbing they dealt Wheatmore on Friday. The Randleman Tigers really took it to the Wheatmore Warriors for the full four quarters, racking up an 82-39 victory. The contest marked the Tigers' most dominant win of the season.

Tyshaun Goldston continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 20 points and 11 boards. Chase Farlow was another key player, putting up eight points.

Randleman was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Wheatmore only racked up nine assists.

Wheatmore lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Christian Hildreth, who posted 11 points. The dominant performance gave Hildreth a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb Coggins, who put up two points and five rebounds.

Randleman's victory was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-1. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.8 points per game. As for Wheatmore, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-10.

Coincidentally, Randleman and Wheatmore will both be playing Trinity the next time they take the court. Randleman will host Trinity at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, while Wheatmore will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
