Soccer Game Preview: Norco vs. Centennial

The Norco Cougars will take on the Centennial Huskies at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.

It was a proper cat-fight when Norco faced off against Corona on Tuesday. Neither Norco nor Corona could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 3-3 draw. While a more conclusive result would've been nice, the Cougars got plenty of practice considering the match was the highest-scoring draw the team's played all season.

They hit Corona with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Abraham Garcia, Alex Cervantes, and Jesse Garcia.

Meanwhile, Centennial has been on a difficult stretch since their win on December 27. They fell just short of Santiago by a score of 1-0 on Tuesday. The match was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but the Huskies couldn't quite close it out.

With that draw, Norco's record moves to 7-2-7. As for Centennial, their loss dropped their record down to 8-6-4.

Norco beat Centennial by a goal when the teams last played two weeks ago, winning 1-0. Will Norco repeat their success, or does Centennial have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
