Basketball Recap: White County Central Takes a Loss

White County Central lost against Mt. Vernon-Enola back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The White County Central Bears came up short against the Mt. Vernon-Enola Warhawks, falling 72-46. While losing is never fun, the Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 224th, while the Warhawks are ranked 81st).

White County Central has traveled a rocky road recently having lost 11 of their last 12 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-23 record this season. As for Mt. Vernon-Enola, their win bumped their record up to 18-11.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. White County Central has already played their next match (against Conway Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Mt. Vernon-Enola will be playing in front of their home fans against Wonderview at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Wonderview will roll in looking for their 12th straight victory, something Mt. Vernon-Enola surely won't give up without a fight.
