Football Recap: Arickaree Comes Up Short

Arickaree lost against Stratton back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Bison took a blow against the Eagles, falling 66-27. The Bison were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 50-15.

Although Arickaree took the loss, they still got scores from Jorge Ramos, Austin Fields, Austin Wright, and Luis Machado.

Drew Fox had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 175 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 9.2 yards per carry for Stratton. Those 175 rushing yards gave Fox a new career-high. Von Isenbart was another key player, throwing for 79 yards and three TDs.

Arickaree now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Stratton, their record is now 3-1.

Looking ahead, Arickaree will head out to take on Peetz at 7:00 p.m. on the 26th. The Bison will need to watch out since the Bulldogs have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. As for Stratton, they will look to defend their home field on the 26th against Idalia at 7:00 p.m. The Eagles will need to watch out since the Wolves have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
