Basketball Recap: St. Joseph Christian Takes a Loss

St. Joseph Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat. They were dealt a 49-11 loss at the hands of the Mid-Buchanan Dragons. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 510th, while the Dragons are ranked 83rd).

St. Joseph Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 1-16. As for Mid-Buchanan, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the St. Joseph Christian Lions challenge the North Platte Panthers at 6:45 p.m. on February 4th. One thing working in North Platte's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three games. As for Mid-Buchanan, they will look to defend their home court on February 3rd against Faith Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m.
