Volleyball Recap: Ashland Takes a Loss

Ashland lost against Meade two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Blue Jays fell just short of the Buffaloes by a score of 2-1. While the Blue Jays didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Buffaloes 25-18 in the first set.

Ashland started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 18-25, 25-18, 26-24.

Ashland has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-17-1 record this season. As for Meade, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-11.

Ashland has already played their next matchup (against Satanta), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Meade, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Hodgeman County on the 7th.
