Wesclin gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They skirted past the Mater Dei Knights 58-55. For the Warriors, this counts as revenge for the 62-56 victory the Knights walked away with the last time they faced one another back in November of 2024.

Loss or not, Mater Dei got some senior leadership from Gavin Peppenhorst and Beckett Wade. Peppenhorst went 9-for-11 to rack up 21 points, while Wade shot 67% from the field en route to 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Reagan Woomer, who posted 11 points.

Looking ahead, Wesclin will look to defend their home court on Friday against Columbia at 7:30 p.m. As for Mater Dei, they will face off against Nashville at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
