Soccer Game Preview: Green Canyon vs. Sky View

The Green Canyon Wolves are taking a road trip to challenge the Sky View Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.

Green Canyon had been on a four-game streak of scoring at least four goals, but Mountain Crest put an end to it on Wednesday. Wolves took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mustangs. The loss continues a trend for Green Canyon in their meetings with Mountain Crest: they've now lost five in a row.

Meanwhile, Sky View kept a clean sheet against Bear River on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Bears with a sharp 3-0 victory. Sky View might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by three goals or more this season.

Bella Hall and Charly Smith scored all three of Sky View's goals, bringing their combined season tally to nine goals.

Sky View is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 16 goals over those four contests. As for Green Canyon, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-3.

Green Canyon beat Sky View by a goal when the teams last played on September 3rd, winning 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Wolves since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
