Recap: Oak Mountain Eagles vs. Helena Huskies
The Oak Mountain Eagles had to endure an eight-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They managed a 41-35 win over Helena on Friday. The win was just what Oak Mountain needed coming off of a 71-32 defeat in their prior match.
Several Huskies players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Hannah Satterfield, who scored 4 points along with 6 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Amari Grant, who scored 5 points along with 6 rebounds.
The last time Oak Mountain lost on the road was back last Wednesday. Having now won six straight away contests, they've pushed their record up to 1-8. As for Helena, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Oak Mountain will take on Cullman at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Cullman presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Oak Mountain in Alabama (Cullman is ranked 75th, while Oak Mountain is ranked 283rd). As for Helena, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Gardendale at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
