Basketball Recap: Robinson Comes Up Short

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Robinson couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They were just a bucket shy of victory on Friday and fell 72-71 to the High Point Central Bison. It was the first time this season that the Bulldogs let down their fans at home.

When it comes to explaining why Robinson lost, don't look at Da'Montre Harlee. Despite the final result, he shot 89% from the field on his way to 22 points and five boards. Those 89% shooting accuracy gave Harlee a new career-high. David Frazier was another key player, putting up 11 points and eight rebounds.

Even though they lost, Robinson was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as High Point Central only seven assists.

Josiah Hill continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for High Point Central, going 6-for-14 en route to 26 points and eight boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Williams, who posted 13 points and five rebounds.

Robinson suffered their first home defeat, dropping their record down to 25-4. As for High Point Central, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 17-9.

Robinson does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for High Point Central, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 74-47 loss against Huss on the 4th.
