Football Recap: Riverdale Falls Short of East Lake in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Riverdale can now relate to. They came up short against the East Lake Eagles on Wednesday, falling 20-0. While losing is never fun, the Raiders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 173rd, while the Eagles are ranked 44th).

Zoey O'Nan threw for 56 yards on eight of 24 attempts. Kameran Miller was her top target, picking up 34 receiving yards.

Riverdale's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-4. As for East Lake, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.

Riverdale does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for East Lake, they have already played their next game, a 13-0 win against Manatee on the 28th.
