Basketball Recap: Greenwood Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Greenwood Christian Academy lost against Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Greenwood Christian Academy Cougars came up short against the Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter Raiders, falling 61-41. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 262nd, while the Raiders are ranked 87th).

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter to victory, but perhaps none more so than Devin Bolden, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and 15 rebounds. Bolden is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down 11 or more in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Nathan Smith, who almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine assists.

Greenwood Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-2.

The future could be bright for both Greenwood Christian Academy and Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. Greenwood Christian Academy will try to hand Speedway their third-straight loss when the two meet at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Similarly, Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter will try to hand Monrovia their third-straight defeat when the two meet at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
