The Curtis Baptist Crusaders's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Providence Athletic Club Panthers at 6:30 p.m. on January 13th. Curtis Baptist has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Curtis Baptist can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent contest on Thursday. Everything went their way against Wardlaw Academy as Curtis Baptist made off with a 81-55 win. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 48-27.
Curtis Baptist found their leader in underclassman Ty Shine, who scored 34 points along with eight steals and six assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Shine has scored all season. Chas Beasley was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with five assists.
Providence Athletic Club suffered their biggest defeat since December 11, 2023 on Thursday. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 77-51 walloping at the hands of Northside Christian Academy. Providence Athletic Club was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 44-21.
Curtis Baptist's win was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-0. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.4 points per game. As for Providence Athletic Club, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-8 record this season.
