Basketball Recap: St. Joseph Takes a Loss

St. Joseph played a tough match on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 69-40 loss at the hands of the Ludlowe Falcons. The game marked the Cadets' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

When it comes to explaining why St. Joseph lost, don't look at TJ Wright. Despite the final result, he went 8 for 17 on his way to 22 points. The match was Wright's ninth in a row with at least ten points. Lameik Black was another key player, putting up seven points and six boards.

This is the second loss in a row for St. Joseph and nudges their season record down to 5-7. As for Ludlowe, they pushed their record up to 12-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Joseph will head out to take on Westhill at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ludlowe, they will venture away from home to challenge Warde/Ludlowe at 6:30 p.m. on January 31st.
