Baseball Game Preview: Bethesda Christian Patriots vs. Clinton Central Bulldogs

Bethesda Christian is 0-4 against Clinton Central since May of 2017 but things could change on Thursday. The Patriots will face off against the Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Bethesda Christian came up short against Sheridan on Tuesday, falling 13-4.

Meanwhile, Clinton Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 7-5 heartbreaker at the hands of Twin Lakes.

Clinton Central saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dillon Heaton, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple was Heaton's first of the season. Creed Mennen was another, scoring three runs and stealing two bases.

Bethesda Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Clinton Central, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Bethesda Christian suffered a grim 13-6 defeat to Clinton Central in their previous matchup back in April of 2023. Can the Patriots avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
