Basketball Recap: TERRA Environmental Comes Up Short + How To Watch

After flying high against Coral Reef on Wednesday, TERRA Environmental came back down to earth. TERRA Environmental had to suffer through a 50-10 loss at the hands of the Ferguson Falcons. The loss continues a trend for TERRA Environmental in their meetings with Ferguson: they've now lost four in a row.

Despite the defeat, TERRA Environmental saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Genevive Cherington posted four points and six steals. That was a full 40% of TERRA Environmental's points, marking the third time in a row Cherington has had more than a third of the team's points.

Ferguson's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Sophia Mauri led the charge by putting up eight points and three steals. The dominant performance also gave Mauri a new career-high in assists (four). Another player making a difference was Evy Fabelo, who scored nine points in addition to eight boards and three steals.

Having lost for the first time this season, TERRA Environmental fell to 2-1. As for Ferguson, they now also have a winning record of 2-1.

TERRA Environmental and Ferguson will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time TERRA Environmental sees the court they'll take on Sunset at 7:30 p.m. on December 3. As for Ferguson, their break will end when they face Southwest at 5:00 p.m. on December 1.
