Soccer Recap: Englewood Takes a Loss

Englewood was the 4-1 winner over Matanzas when they last played one another back in November of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Englewood Rams lost 3-0 to the Matanzas Pirates on Monday. That's two games in a row now that the Rams have lost by exactly three goals.

Englewood has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-6-1 record this season. As for Matanzas, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-1-1.

Englewood didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 6-2 win against Riverside on the 11th. As for Matanzas, they will host Taylor at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
