Softball Recap: Stevenson Extends Winning Streak to Four

Stevenson extended their winning streak to four on Tuesday, bumping their season record up to 8-3 in the process. They put the hurt on the King's Way Christian Knights with a sharp 14-7 win. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won six contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Sophia Nordgaard made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Nordgaard was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. That double marked the first that she has hit this season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Cayden Hulsey-Bible, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That home run was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Madi Nordgaard, who went 1-for-4 with three runs and one double.

As for King's Way Christian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8. Even though they lost, their still made a splash at the plate and bumped their average scoring up to 6.1 runs per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).

On King's Way Christian's side, Lauren Lewis made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Grace Wickum was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Stevenson beat King's Way Christian by a score of 14-6 on Thursday.
