Basketball Recap: Kaynor RVT Comes Up Short

Kaynor RVT was the 61-38 winner over O'Brien RVT when they last played one another back in January of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The Kaynor RVT Panthers fell just short of the O'Brien RVT Condors by a score of 58-55 on Tuesday.

Leading O'Brien RVT to victory were Landon Weller and Aithan Marte. Weller went 6 of 11 on his way to 20 points in addition to five assists and five boards, while Marte went 7 for 13 en route to 18 points and six rebounds. What's more, Marte also racked up two blocks, the most he's had since back in January of 2024. Robert Stocker was another key player, putting up eight points along with five boards and four steals.

O'Brien RVT has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 6-5 record this season.

Kaynor RVT has already played their next game (against Wilby), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. It'll be a Battle of the Birds when the O'Brien RVT Condors challenge the Vinal RVT Hawks at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. O'Brien RVT is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.2 points per game this season.
