Basketball Recap: Ledyard Comes Up Short in High-Profile Matchup with Bacon Academy

On Friday, Ledyard faced Bacon Academy in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Ledyard Colonels took a 64-49 bruising from the Bacon Academy Bobcats. That makes it the first time this season the Colonels have let down their home crowd.

Ledyard's defeat dropped their record down to 12-4. As for Bacon Academy, their victory was their tenth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ledyard will host Norwich Free Academy at 6:00 p.m. on February 14th. As for Bacon Academy, they will square off against Waterford at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
