Sullivan extended their road winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Aeralyn Thrasher. The Redskins sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Effingham Hearts on Saturday with plenty of help from Thrasher, who had 17 kills and two aces. She is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had five or more in each of the last six games she's played.

Sullivan had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 26-24, 15-7.

Sullivan's victory bumped their record up to 15-11. As for Effingham, with the loss, they broke their three-match winning streak and moved their record to 15-9.

Sullivan wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Pana on the 11th. As for Effingham, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg on the 11th.
