Basketball Recap: Iowa-Grant Takes a Loss

Iowa-Grant was the 55-33 winner over Belmont when they last played one another back in December of 2019, but their luck changed this time around. The Iowa-Grant Panthers came up short against the Belmont Braves on Tuesday, falling 68-46. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 368th, while the Braves are ranked 116th).

Iowa-Grant has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 11 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-19 record this season. Belmont's win bumped their record up to 16-8.

Looking ahead, Iowa-Grant will challenge Boscobel at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Iowa-Grant is facing Boscobel at the right time seeing as Boscobel is stuck on a ten-game losing streak. As for Belmont, they will venture away from home to challenge River Ridge at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. River Ridge will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Belmont surely won't give up without a fight.
