Soccer Game Preview: Hendersonville vs. Franklin

The Hendersonville Commandos will face off against the Franklin Admirals on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Hendersonville comes in on three and Franklin on eight.

Hendersonville is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Tennessee's top teams: Ravenwood, who was ranked 12th at the time (Hendersonville was ranked 18th). The Commandos' defense stepped up to hand the Raptors a 2-0 shutout on Saturday.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last contest, Franklin made sure to put some goals up on the board against Beech on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Buccaneers with a sharp 5-1 victory. Considering Franklin have won 13 games by more than two goals this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

They hit Beech with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Theo Simpson (2), Chase Brakman, Logan Macy, and Tristiano Alfano.

Franklin's win was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-0-2. Those home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those nine matches. As for Hendersonville, their win bumped their record up to 14-7-1.

Hendersonville couldn't quite get it done against Franklin in their previous matchup back in May of 2022 as they fell 4-2. Can the Commandos avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
