Recap: Frazier Commodores vs. Charleroi Cougars
The Frazier Commodores lost against the Charleroi Cougars back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Frazier took a 50-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of Charleroi. Frazier has struggled against Charleroi recently, as their match on Wednesday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the defeat, Frazier had strong showings from Dailan Mcmanus, who scored 23 points along with six rebounds and three steals, and Brant Alekson, who scored five points along with seven rebounds. Mcmanus is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last six games he's played.
Frazier struggled to work together and finished the game with only three assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Frazier has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-8 record this season. As for Charleroi, their win bumped their record up to 6-9.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Frazier will take on Fort Cherry at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Fort Cherry's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last 11 matches. As for Charleroi, they will head out on the road to challenge Mt. Carmel Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
