Volleyball Recap: Pomona Takes a Loss

Pomona was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Fossil Ridge SaberCats.

While Pomona was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Fossil Ridge's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-16, 25-20.

Calvan Wickstrom paced Pomona's offense, picking up five kills. Wickstrom got some help from Mitchell Cox and his 13 assists.

Pomona's defeat dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Fossil Ridge, their win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-5.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Pomona will challenge rival Riverdale Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Fossil Ridge is set to take on their familiar foe Centaurus at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
