Baseball Recap: Devine Takes a Loss

Devine lost against Pleasanton back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Warhorses fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 3-1. The Warhorses have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Devine saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rudy Costilla, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Devine's loss dropped their record down to 7-13-1. As for Pleasanton, the victory (which was their 14th in a row) raised their record to 20-3.

Looking ahead, Devine will challenge San Antonio Memorial at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Minutemen have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.13 runs per game on average), something the Warhorses will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Pleasanton, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 win against LEE on the 12th.
