Arroyo Valley extends road losing streak to seven

The Arroyo Valley Hawks's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their tenth straight loss. They received a tough blow as they fell 53-37 to Vista del Lago. Arroyo Valley has not had much luck with Vista del Lago recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Vista del Lago's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Freddy Alarcon led the charge by scoring 13 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. That's the first time this season that Alarcon pulled down eight or more rebounds. Another player making a difference was Elijah Harvey, who scored six points along with seven rebounds and three steals.

Arroyo Valley's defeat was their seventh straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 4-16. As for Vista del Lago, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Arroyo Valley will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Colton at 5:30 p.m. on January 9th. As for Vista del Lago, they will square off against Lakeside at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Lakeside has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
