Softball Recap: Grayling Takes a Loss

Grayling fell victim to Kingsley and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They fell just short of the Stags by a score of 1-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Vikings of the 9-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2016.

Grayling saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jessica Campbell, who went 1-for-3 with one triple.

Grayling's defeat dropped their record down to 13-4. As for Kingsley, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 7-4.

The future could be bright for both Grayling and Kingsley: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. The Vikings will try to hand Harbor Springs their third-straight loss when the two meet at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Kingsley will look to extend Cadillac's three-game losing streak when they meet at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
