Volleyball Game Preview: Rock Canyon Jaguars vs. Castle View Sabercats + How To Watch

The Rock Canyon Jaguars will head out on the road to challenge the Castle View Sabercats at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Rock Canyon is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last 13 games.

Rock Canyon barely beat Regis Jesuit the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Jaguars were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Raiders on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Jaguars have posted against the Raiders since October 4, 2018.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-16, 25-20.

Rock Canyon can attribute much of their success to Elena Paz, who had ten digs and two aces. Paz is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Paz wasn't the only good servers: Rock Canyon was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in six consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, Castle View beat ThunderRidge 3-1 on Tuesday.

Castle View was especially dominant in the first set. The final score came out to 25-14, 22-25, 25-22, 25-16.

Rock Canyon's win bumped their record up to 13-1. As for Castle View, the victory got them back to even at 7-7.

Rock Canyon was able to grind out a solid win over Castle View in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Jaguars since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
