Basketball Recap: Mylee Van De Wouw's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Neumann over Indian Hill

If Neumann was riding high fresh off their 57-34 takedown of Barron Collier last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Neumann Celtics fell 55-42 to the Indian Hill Braves on Monday. While losing is never fun, the Celtics can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 290th in Florida, while the Braves are ranked 97th in Ohio).

Neumann lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Mylee Van De Wouw, who posted 17 points. Another player making a difference was Maddy Donahue, who earned 12 points and six rebounds.

Neumann's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Indian Hill, they pushed their record up to 5-1 with the victory, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Neumann wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 41-37 defeat against River Ridge on the 2nd. As for Indian Hill, they will square off against Finneytown at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Indian Hill is facing Finneytown at the right time seeing as Finneytown is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
