Basketball Recap: Borah Comes Up Short

Borah was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a hard 69-53 fall against the Mountain View Mavericks. The Lions were not able to make up for their defeat to the Mavericks from their previous meeting back in January of 2024.

Mountain View's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Landon Starnes led the charge by going 6 for 13 to rack up 16 points in addition to five assists and three steals. That's the most steals Starnes has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Brody Tolman, who went 6 of 8 en route to 14 points.

Borah's loss dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Mountain View, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 10-10 record this season.

As of now, neither Borah nor Mountain View have any future games scheduled.
