Baseball Recap: Normal West's Undefeated Season over After Five Games

Normal West came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 9-2 to the Ariton Purple Cats. The loss was the Wildcats' first of the season.

Normal West saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cooper Temples, who scored a run while going 2-for-2. Those hits were Temples' first of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Normal West fell to 4-1. As for Ariton, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 20-4.

Looking ahead, Normal West will face off against Gibson County at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Ariton, they will head out on the road to challenge West Blocton at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
