Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Kailer Pohl and Bryant Stouffer Lead Aquinas to Victory

Aquinas hadn't done well against Archangels Catholic recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Aquinas Monarchs came out on top against the Archangels Catholic Defenders by a score of 56-43. For the Monarchs, this counts as revenge for the 49-42 victory the Defenders walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2024.

Leading Aquinas to victory were Bryant Stouffer and Kailer Pohl. Stouffer dropped a double-double with 20 points and ten boards, while Pohl went 6-for-8 to rack up 17 points and five steals. With that strong performance, Pohl is now averaging an impressive 2.1 steals per game. Another player making a difference was Matthew Storm, who posted eight points.

Aquinas' win bumped their record up to 12-9. As for Archangels Catholic, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 14-6 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games.
