Baseball Recap: Grafton Takes a Loss

Grafton lost against Williamstown on April 7th, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Bearcats lost 13-3 to the Yellowjackets. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Bearcats have suffered since April 1st.

Carter Gillespie made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, one double, and one RBI. He has become a key player for Grafton: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least three hits, but 10-12 otherwise.

Grafton has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-13 record this season. As for Williamstown, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-8.
