Soccer Game Preview: Brandywine Heights Area vs. Kutztown

The Brandywine Heights Area Bullets will head out to square off against the Kutztown Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Brandywine Heights Area has given up an average of 2.6 goals per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Brandywine Heights Area fell victim to Boyertown and their airtight defense on Saturday. They came up short against the Bears, falling 5-0. While losing is never fun, Brandywine Heights Area can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania soccer rankings (they are ranked 433rd, while Boyertown are ranked 212th).

Meanwhile, Kutztown had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 2 goals) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Hawks with a sharp 5-1 win. Considering Kutztown have won five matches by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Kutztown's victory bumped their record up to 12-1-2. As for Brandywine Heights Area, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season.

Brandywine Heights Area couldn't quite get it done against Kutztown when the teams last played on September 2nd as they fell 2-0. Can the Bullets avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
