Baseball Recap: Friona Takes a Loss

Friona was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 9-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lamesa Tornadoes.

Aaron Rosales was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Rosales is also crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's stole at least one every time he's taken the field this season. Another player making a difference was Gabriel Ramos, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Friona's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Lamesa, their victory bumped their record up to 3-4.

Coming up, Friona will be taking part in a tournament against Seminole at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. Seminole will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Friona surely won't give up without a fight. As for Lamesa, they will take on Muleshoe in a tournament on Friday.
