Western had already won four in a row and they went ahead and made it five on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Pompano Beach Golden Tornadoes. This was payback for the Wildcats, who suffered a 3-2 loss the last time these two teams met.

Western had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-19, 25-22, 25-15.

Western found their leader in sophomore Ian Bristol, who had 30 digs. Those 30 digs set a new season-high mark for Bristol.

Western's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-2. As for Pompano Beach, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-6.

Western has already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Pembroke Pines Charter on the 3rd. As for Pompano Beach, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against West Broward on the 3rd.
