Caston fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against West Central on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Trojans by a score of 15-14. The Comets' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Carson Harness was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Mollenkopf, who got on base in four of his six plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.

Caston's loss dropped their record down to 10-4. As for West Central, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-7.

Caston wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 12-2 victory against Southwood on the 29th. As for West Central, they have also already played their next game, a 14-4 win against North Newton on the 29th.
